Our approach to customer information
GNUWHIT is operated by Gnubay LLC. We do not intentionally build or maintain customer profiles, sell customer information, or use personal information for ongoing marketing. We use voluntary email information only when you ask to receive it, and we use transaction information only as needed to complete, document, support, and protect a purchase.
Information needed for a transaction
When you make a purchase, we collect only the information needed to process payment, ship the order, communicate about the transaction, handle a return or customer-service request, prevent fraud, and meet applicable tax, accounting, or legal recordkeeping requirements. This may include your name, email address, shipping and billing address, telephone number, order details, and messages you send us.
Voluntary email
If you voluntarily join the GNUWHIT mailing list or contact us, we use your email address to respond or to send the communications you requested. You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message or by contacting us.
Payments and checkout
Our store uses WooCommerce and WooPayments. Information needed to process a transaction is handled by WooPayments and its payment partners, including Stripe. If you choose a supported wallet such as WooPay or Google Pay, the relevant wallet provider also handles the information needed to complete that payment. GNUWHIT does not receive full card-number information through the ordinary checkout flow.

Website operation, cookies, and links
Like most websites, the services that operate our site may temporarily process standard technical details such as IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed, and cookie or similar identifier information. We use necessary cookies to make the website, shopping cart, checkout, preferences, and security features work. You can manage non-essential cookie choices through the cookie banner or settings available on the site.
GNUWHIT does not purposefully maintain individual browsing profiles. We may use aggregate measurement or affiliate-link tools to understand overall site and link performance. Some outbound links are affiliate or tracked links. If you follow one and take a qualifying action, an affiliate partner may pay GNUWHIT a commission. Third-party sites control their own information practices once you leave GNUWHIT.
How information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate the website and complete a transaction, including with website hosting and technical providers, payment providers, shipping and fulfillment providers, email providers, and professional advisers. We may also share information when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
Retention, requests, and security
We keep transaction records only as long as reasonably necessary to complete and support the transaction, prevent fraud, and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to information we are required or permitted to retain for those purposes.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate.
